Painting Front Grille

Anybody ever paint the honeycomb grille on the front bumper?

I was thinking about getting rid of the intercooler grille but read that might not be such a great idea in terms of a lack of protection without it.

I'm thinking painting it silver wouldn't be so bad but curious to see if anybody has done it.

Someone has painted it silver. Forgot the name tho. Has a sport tint red Balt

Btw let's get one thing clear. The name of the grille the tc has is diamond grille. You keep saying honeycomb and people gonna start to think there's a new grille available from gm or something. Lol

i was told that too but i dont see what protection im loosing i dont expect anything to be coming at the front of my car and if it did it certainly wouldnt be bigger than the openings in the grille

Did you sand everything down? Spray paint or Auto from a gun?

Both look really good.

I powerwashed everything first and sanded only the upper font grille where there are those little "dots". I did a coat of paint b4 i sanded it and started to flake and it all peeled off. I used rustoleum for platics

I got the diamond shape grille upper and lower from crateenginedepot... IMO looks 100x better than the horizontal grille and it was cheaper!

I need to do this. It makes it look so much better.

CED is your best place to buy it, unless you find one in the classifieds. I looked for almost a month and didnt see one. Got mine from CED in about 3 business days. Great guys.
