Has anyone put on the 2.4L intake manifold and throttle body on a 2.2L engine and has gotten any codes without a tune?

 

it shut down, reduced power.

 

my buddy did it to his 2.2 and had no issues. but then he took it off and went supercharged.

 

t/b with throw the car in to limb mode

 

he didnt use the 2.4 t/b he used the lsj with the 2.4 manifold, i missed the part in that thread where he said both the 2.4 t/b and manifold i thought he was asking the manifold only my bad...

 

2.4 intake mani with 2.2 tb is ok. 2.4 intake mani and tb without tune not ok...simple as that
no exceptions!

 

he did a tune a few day later. i told him the same thing all in all he had no limp mode ever happen.

duh......also wasnt my car.

 

Ok thanks for the info. guys but an other question. What yea were these car's becuz my car is a 06', they told me that i have to make sure that my connection for the throttle body is the same as the 2.4L throttle body?

Rather than search or start a new thread...07 2.2 needs what 2.4 tb to work? 07? Can you just match year for year and it will be the same or no?

 

I bought the 06-07 2.4 thottle body from www.gmpartsdirect.com and i have 2006 2.2 with a 8 pin plug. Does this throttle body i ordered have an 8 pin plug????

 

tune or get a new MAF...get a jet performance MAF. that will work

this is drivin me crazy... i have the tuning aspect under control i just need to know if the 06-07 2.4 throttle body is an 8 pin plug. will it fit the 06?????

yes it will dude, relax. i got mine ready to go on. waiting on my tune

 

sweet! I'm stoked. The throttle body should be here any day. I still have to find out if vince needs to change anything in the tune. I wonder how much it will mess with the a/f ratio.

05-06 2.4 TB will fit the 06. 07 up has different pins i believe

Here is the final correction. LOL. I got my throttle body by the way and it fit perfect.

05-07 2.4 throttle bodies are 8 pin.

08-present 2.4 throttle bodies are 6 pin.

If anyone else was wondering like i was resort to this thread.
