This would be tons better if they supported LNF tuning. Other than that, dashdaq ftw.

so ur sayin if the trinity supported the LNF it would be better than the dashdaq?

but the dashdaq is better cuz it suports LNF? lol

I got the dashdaq, neet little toy. Plenty of inputs for additional sensors, you can get a gps/accelerometer for it too. You can make your own skins/layouts and the support is excellent from drewtech.

oh yea, another question.... does it require perfessional installation? lol... like is it complicated or time consuming is what i mean.

sides i don't want no cords showing...

It plugs right into the obd2 port, nothing to it. The rest is just setting it up to show what you want.

Nooo. If you notice trinity is also a tuner too, plus all the dashdaq goodies rolled into 1 nifty unit. Diablo puts out pretty decent tunes too, and you get it all for the same price, basically, as the dashdaq. But since diablo isnt fcking with the LNF platform, then no need to even get the trinity. Dashdaq doesnt tune, only logs, gauges, lights, etc.

And professional installation is not needed. Simply plug and play. You hide the cords inside the paneling if ya want.

hmm plug into the lighter thingy?

i may see about gettin it wired into sumthin so it don't need to be plugged in

i c where they got different options when you buy one. idc about nav... i have pioneer head unit that does all that good stuff lolz... i see where u can get an increased memory on one. but... does the basic one come with any kind of memory at all?

It has to be plugged into the obd2 port, you cant wire it in because its a diagnostic port, the dealer wont like it when something is hardwired into that port.
Any sd memory card will do, you can pick them up for $10 at your local computer store. This will give you plenty of space to log data.

hmm that's not a bad idea. but my radar detector is prolly gonna go there... hmm, i was thinkin bout puttin it over by the ac vent but i'm not real sure how that'd look...

hmm maybe i could mount it on the dash to the left of the hump thing where the gauges are... do you think the sun would mess it up? don wanna mess that lil thing up, way to expensive

try the upper corner of the windshield on the driver's side... put mine there and it isn't a problem... you can even run the cable inside of the pillar...

:)

quick question, is the AERO WING SPOILER the high spoiler? :-/

car i found has that i guess. i think it's ugly but it'll have to do. :-/

i'm thinkin bout doing silver race stripes maybe

oh... what's the best model escort radar detector to get? not necessarily the most expensive but, say would the cheaper work just a well as the others? Cobra's just plain suck so those r out of the picture lol

9500i... I have one and love it... I think aero is the low profile wing - if I remember correctly the high rise is actually listed as 'high rise'...

If you want to go stripes, make sure they are tasteful... go all the way down the front and back - don't skip any parts....

lol of course, I'm very picky and my eye for detail is probably more a curse but, if i dont like them, REDO!

i was also thinking of maybe doing a pearl white color instead of silver.

dude i completely forgot about built-ins. my sister has one built into her tundra, it tells you on a little twitter and i think she has sensors on the front back and sides of the truck...

hmm the 9500ix look nice cuz the display is blue which would match everything in the dash, does the 9500i have a customizable display color?

Oh and the aero wing is a 150 dollar option according to the window sticker? so i just assumed it was the high rise... i didn't think the small one was a 150 dollar option..

Nakaiya21
07-20-2009, 04:12 PM
Yep, then that is the high rise option...but if you really don't like it I am sure someone will change with you...as for the stripes - it depends on the color of the car. There are two versions of the passport - one with a blue readout and one with a red readout... :)

o i saw were that 9500ix has pre downloaded redlight camera positions and stuff like that in it. looked pretty kewlz.

what do you mean someone will change with me?

I like the low one i know but i've never seen the high one in person. I mean they both look just as good, i mean there is only so much you can do with an ugly tail lol :)

maybe it is... but it doesn't look terrible or anything.. i guess i/d just prefer the low one

So for the people who have one....Few questions... would you buy it again or go with regular gauges? Is it worth the money/user friendly? If you GPS, is it a good system?

peachpuff
10-08-2009, 04:59 PM
I'd never go with regular gauges ever again, im watching around 15 parameters with my dashdaq now and can datalog them easily, cant do that with regular gauges let alone monitor that much info. The gps system works fine, its just like any other aftermarket one, it uses navteq maps.

I love regular gauges, and i love dashdaq, id go with both again

peachpuff

No it just says "turn left in 100m... turn left now".
