im trying to get a ss front bumper, and when i called today they said i need a vin number of a ss cause theres 10 different bumpers. i said just a 2006 2.4 ss bumper. where do i go from here?

well thats because they will paint it for you and they need the paint code from the vin thats at least what they told me

 

Most parts guys doesn't know body codes. The body code for a SS/NA Cobalt is AM. Below is a screenshot of my parts catalog showing all the different fascias for the 06 Cobalt. If the partsman doesn't know what he's doing, and it seems like he doesn't, he will not be able to tell the difference between the 10 front fascias in this list. Since you have a Chevrolet and a 2.4 you need the top number. The AM code is the SS/NA Cobalt.
