Please Help! Air Intake

Hey everyone Im new to the site and I just bought myself a Cobalt SS 2.4 2006 Sedan.

Im fixing it up big time, but Im really knowledgeable in mechanics.
So I wanted to know which performance air intake was the best.
Theres two models ive seen so far

1) the Performance Air intake General Motors Part #17800653 266.50$
2)Injen performance air intake

I wanted to know which is one better and what are the diffrences.

Thanks in advance

you'd be surprised how much it helps... i just got dyno'd at 167 whp on my auto 2.4.. only performance mods are my gmpp exhaust and my k&n intake. all depends on what you want man.... with most of these intakes you will gain some top end power but lose some torque probably unless you get it tuned.

all depends on which one u wanna do..... i did my k&n... took me all of 45 minutes to an hour and that was the first thing ive ever done to a car. it was an easy install since its only a short-ram intake. for the full cold air intakes out there u probably have to do things like remove the headlight, etc to install them. Either way, once u install a new intake prepare for ur fuel mileage to go down lol. i know it gives better gas mileage as long as u dont mash the gas pedal all the time, but hearing that nice new sound will make u wanna gun it at every chance

buy an abs pipe and stick a sponge in the end, ring clam it on.

Hehe, kidding.

Just remember to buy a hydrosheild if you decide to go with an AEM filter

Dude I got the Injen CAI and its amazing it makes the 2.4 sound so much more aggressive and its only a cold air intake...plus I noticed a difference in power...highly recommend Injen.

love my k&n great sound and quality. injen,K&n,aem, custom made,ect... its all just a pipe with a cone filter maybe one is very slightly better than another but your not gunna gain a ton of horsepower from it barely noticeable if anything the sound will make it feel like there is more power. any of them will do its all just preference on what u like injen is chrome while K&n is not so its up to u on what u want.
