Starting June 1 2010
All Interstate in Florida, will have the Call boxes (on side of the
interstate) replaced with Cameras that will take a picture of your tag at
one box, and then another picture as you pass the next. It will then
calculate your time from one box to the next and issue you a speeding
ticket determined by the time it took you to get from one box to the next.
It knows how fast you are going, to the exact speed.

Then if you live in Jacksonville, FL

Starting August 1, this year 2009, the following intersections will have
cameras taking pictures of your car tag, if you run a red light.

Atlantic and Kernen
South Side and Baymeadows

Then on Nov 1 of this year the following intersections will have cameras as
well....

University and Atlantic
University and Beach
University and Merrill
Beach and Hodges
Sunbeam and San Jose
Phillips and JTB
Atlantic and San Pablo
Beach and St Johns
Atlantic and Monument
Atlantic and St Johns

Cameras will be taking from all directions.....


Neither one of these fractions will be points on your license, just a fine
that you will not be able to go to court and fight, just has to be paid, no
if's, ands or buts about it. You have to pay them, or lose your license
for a period determined by a Judge.

The camera's at the intersection is 'old news'. However the ones with the call boxes... That's insane. I was driving down 192 yesterday and there was a construction bucket truck with a deputy running radar at an intersection!! !!

 

thank god i live in yulee and only use 95 and 295 to get around

 

Yeah its crazy, they had a guy on a tractor once off of I295 waving at people as they went by, to bad he had a radar in his other hand and cops pulling people over an 1/8th mile down the road

 

get the escort 9500xi or i and you can program in the locations of those cameras into its gps

I hate these things. They tried to do cameras in interesections here in MN but people were getting ticketed wrong etc. and they were taken down.

 

Also, in Orlando everyone don't forget about all the red light cameras!!!!

 

The reason they only issue a fine and no points if b/c the ticket is issued to whoever owns the car(b/c it takes the tag #), so if somebody else is driving your car and runs a redlight/speeds then you would not take the hit from it. Just tell whoever was driving your car at the time to pay up

 

we got one already long time ago in a intersection in pines just before flamingo, is an intersection that have a firefighter department. you will see at night the big ass flash go off. also in the day. lol

that is the red light camera. You can read about it on the Pembroke Pines website. The have a bunch of them in Pines but they are only for red lights.

yeah they did but first it was about speed cameras and using stuff to block your plate with plastic, spray etc etc those stuff in the market, and none of them work.
and one guy jaime he did the rear plate to flip and change to another one like james bond lol
