with 2 weeks to plan we would like to have a large GM showing at the last night of SCION drag and brag show/race. its $20 to race OR $20 to show or $30 for both. test/tune the first few hours then its bracket racing.

i am checking how many free tickets i can get and it will be a 1st come 1st serve, which hopefully i will have enough depending on how many want to show up. bring a helmet or its $10 to rent. YES EVERYONE MUST wear one, yes even sub 300hp. you can wear shorts.

theres been a varity of cars showing up. a jeep cheroke winning its division against stangs firebirds etc, a couple of GTR's out there and a basic mix of everything else.

its SCION's drag and brag event, so ya anything can show up and enter. im just trying to get a GM compact showing out there since theres no alot in the tuner class, mostly inports.

plus everyone talks about wanting to meet up and at a track. this takes cars of both but looks like interest in the DFW area is still very light.

 

I got 3rd place last week in the tuner class!

 

I read the evo got knocked out by a nissan gtr...those cars are bad ass and expensive as hell.

Well I got 2nd place to night!

A set of drag radials would have gotten me first last night. I really need a pair of ss/na 17's, anyone know where I can get a cheap set or some one that just wants to get rid of some?

 

Ill take two also (rims)... hey chad, u never got back to me about going to lunch... we are about to start building crap for my balt!!! YAY!! we are ordering all my elbows and couplers for the chg piping this week and also ordering my bends to build my exh... going full 3 inch maybe a muffler but may not depends on what i think of the sound.. ill try to show up this friday, been really busy... but the car is running great now, no more "intermittent number 3 injector shut off" any more.. BTW, we gotta get together for some photo shooting, the pics u got over by that wharehouse in downtown FW were great

I have thought about going out to this....there are a couple of other meets around, but this is definitely the closest to me at just 15 mins away! I have no desire to race or show anymore though so I may come out and hang out...what is infield parking usually like at these things? should I get there early if I wanna do that? I usually am working or end up passing it headed somewhere when its going on, and this weekend I really have no set plans

The infield parking is never really full.

 

Is that because 90% of the people that go are out there racing? or do they not really tell people they can park in there? What is the general turn out overall, good? What time were you guys thinking of heading up there? meet-up somewhere first? I'll most likely be down to come hang out for a lil while, not sure how long, just depends on the crowd and such

 

Its because its $15 dollars and to park outside its free. I am not sure if that includes entrance fee or not.

I have been going every week, and am not going to miss the last one.

Bring whoever you can get to come, the more the better. Gates open at 6 and it usually goes until 11/ 11:30. The crowd is pretty good and i am sure there will be alot more people out there this week cause its the last day of the event.
