LNF Supercharger Kit

Now there are Turbo Swaps for the LSJ now is it possible to make a Supercharger Swap for the LNF??? I mean wouldn't you just have to buy the heat exchanger, aftercooler, supercharger M62 or TVS. Kind of like a 2.2 or 2.4 going supercharged just taking the turbo parts off.

Just to be clear I understand that Turbo has many benifits over supercharging but The whine the instant boost and the unique factor make this appealing. If my SS/SC gets totaled I would like to be able to get an LNF and swap to supercharged. I really wish more Supercharged 4 Bangers were out there. Imagine a AWD Supercharged ecotec. Instant boost with AWD traction and better gear ratios lol. So you think this is possible with 5K or so?

i'm sure you can make it work with the right amount of money but not likely for a direct bolt on...

i could be wrong though

you can do anything with enough money and you could probly make a considerable amount more power because of the DI and the VVT but i feel like the power is much easyer to achieve by staying turbo just a tune and your getting 300+ whp i mean you cant do that with the lsj
but it would be a really awesome swap and i think it has some potential

Yeah this can very well be a great kit if the price was right. ZZP states if you could run two m62 blowers one feeding the other you could run 30psi of pure supercharged power. What I didn't understand was would you have a supercharger on top of a supercharger or one taking in air and then going to an other blower. The reason why 30psi would be possible efficiently would be due to twin intercooling.

First LNF guys have to solve the 400whp wall. But man what custom shop would take this on in california? Near sacramento.

You reminded me of a Lightning I saw for sale a while back. On the back window it had a sticker that said "I'd rather be blown than stroked".

why wouldn't you just buy another ss/sc instead of supercharging a t/c

IM (possible custom spacer..i think it may be a different head bolt pattern), header, DP, M62/TVS, coolant pump, LSJ pulley system, intake, HE, lines, and done.
Probably $3k if you search for the parts and use the M62

I think ZZP would take the challenge but there has to be someone with money and willingness to take on this project. If I had the money this would of already have been done.

It would be cheaper IMO to buy an ss/sc and swap the suspension if that's your reasoning

I want to see this done and I really dont care for a used cobalt. I want to be able to say I got an LNF supercharged. Dont get me wrong I hope it to perform as good or better then the lsj with the M62.

Yes and in the future if I want to buy a used cobalt I know I can get an LNF and go supercharged. I dont see many supercharged 4 bangers being made in the future.

its easier to supercharge a LNF than to give a LSJ DI. I think that's the basis for the OP.

unless the injectors stick out of the LNFand would get in the way of the LSJ IM, i dont see any issues

thats kinda what i was thinking.....if remember off hand when i was under my lnf/lsj, the injectors might cause clearance issues but im not 100% certain thou.but that could be fix easily I'm sure with a thin spacer in between the IM and head, would solve that. I think it would be cool to see some one do it.

yea, it might be in the way, but a spacer could fix that easily. Clearance would be tight between the blower and the frame rail tho

Theres a reason why theres not many supercharged 4 bangers its difficult to make power with little displacement and with AWD we wont have whp for ****..... thats about 25% lost. Stay turbo man

i would guess it wouldnt be any closer than that of when the 2.2 cavalier guys use the LSJ parts to go supercharged, they only have like 1/2 from the blower and the frame rail. i just worked one a few weeks back

This is just a prime example of how everyone wants what they dont have lol including me but i would just upgrade the turbo you would be much happer with 400whp and that can be made pretty easly.

this is like saying you want to add on to your trailer house cause all the nice houses have sun rooms and you think you can make your house nicer than their's by putting one on your house. it's just not practical. they put a turbo on there so it'd have more power than the supercharger was capable of making. Turbo FTW.
