Thumbs down After extensive testing...verdict in JBP CAB's suck!

Went and did some launches and burnouts...hops just like stock. The ingalls mount made a much bigger difference than these did. Now granted I had to have mine welded in because they fell out twice but steering wise it still feels livened up like before but not to the extent when they were pressed in. I got under and checked and they are in the right positions...not to happy with the 340 installed i spent

Damn, Dan..... I was just about to order those You have had the worst luck with those.

Looks like the next mod is going to be air bags in the springs in the rear to help keep the weight transfer on the front. Thanks for saving me some $$$$$

Wow that's very surprising, the CAB's made a huge difference for me vs. just the motor mount, I rarely get any wheel hop at all..hmmm..

I think you've got it. That would explain why the Cobalt's benefit from it so much more.

^^^I was wondering if this had something to do with it as well. Hopefully the CABs combined with the Ingalls will be better.

He is giving his opinion of how they work in his Redline. They seem to hold up well in the Cobalts. We should consider ourselves lucky. Are there any other Redlines on the boards who have these installed?

That makes no real sense...they did not do for me what they were claimed to do. I have every right to claim they suck. If they WORKED as they said they would I would say so and endorse them...but they don't. As far as I know only 2 redlines have these mounts. Maxboost (who hasnt gotten on his car since install cause hes still breaking in his clutch) and me..that makes 50% of redlines not liking them so far.......

Maybe you need to add an additional brace welded into the control arm like the Phase 5 cars??
The J design of the control arm contributes to the hop cycle.

I have wanted these for some time now but have been waiting. I have herd that there are a few other companys that will be making some new bushings for us vary soon that will be alot less costly and will include all 4 bushinds not just the rear 2.

Wop u are a machine. My questions is arent the phase 5 cars cobalt? From what I'm seeing (I dont have classes or contacts in) that looks like an ion control arm there...they went with the ion CA's in the cobalt? Why? Can get me any measurements on that support rod?

Thanks,

Dan

Go big or go home - Engine mount, tranny mount and CAB, with this trio my car NEVER hops and sounds feels and rides great. She either spins or goes

try the tranny mount probly tied with the CAB for the single best thing to eliminate wheel hop.
