LNF same as in Saab 9-3?

This may sound weird but, is the engine in the 08-09 SS/TC the same that is in the Saab 9-3 Sport Sedan? Both cars are made by GM. Both are 2.0L EcoTech engines, mounted the same way, and both have similar power output (Cobalt=260hp - Saab=210hp). I assume the power difference is due to boost. But im not sure of the Saab engine is Direct Injected. I was just wondering if anyone could shed a litte more light on this subject. I am hacing trouble finding a good forum for Saabs.

No.

The 2.0T in the Saab is a B207R or B207L, depending on output. RPO Code LK9.

Yeah, definitely much closer to the LSJ. The B207 series lacks direct injection.

i previously owned the v6 aero. figuring it put out the same numbers as the lnf engine, the 2.0t or 2.0T is not at all comparable

I'm on SaabCentral, it's probably the better of the group. There aren't any really great ones.

That's what makes this forum so great, you have to weed through so much bullshit to find the right answer.
HINT: normally the right answer is the 2nd post

Awsome. Yea i tried googling for some Saab sites but i couldnt really find any with people on them. Saab Central seems to be good. But i cant understand why there arent more Saab enthusiasts or more Saab's in general. The EcoTech engine is great and the Saab's have great styling! I absolutly love the curves of the mid-late 2000's Saab 9-3 and Ive been thinking of getting one to make into a fast DD.
