I am working on getting a Stage 1 Cobalt for this weekend. If I am successful are there any planned Cobalt gatherings where I could come and show you the car?

Please post here planned Detroit are gatherings for Friday August 21, Saturday August 22 and Sunday August 23rd.

 

Me and a buddy have 09 t/c's lookin for some meets as well.

 

If no one else posts then I can meet with you and your buddy some where.

 

Usually they meet at pot bellys on 13 1/2 and woodward. But now that the cruise over I am not sure what the turn out will be like.

I will start a thread on the seecarclubnet website and maybe we could make something happen for this weekend. I would be interested in going.

It is 99.9% sure that I will have the Stage 1 car this weekend. I am planning on sometime meeting with Killerbee probably in Lansing. So I could meet some other Lansing people then. I also want to meet up with Detroit Area Cobalt's. Are there any for sure meets where I could show up?

I made a post on SEE and It didn't get serious interest/replies.
In the past they would meet Saturday night around 8 or so but I only met up with them once.

I'm game if you decide to meet some people on Saturday/Sunday.

Where would be good? Could you make it to Great Lakes Crossing? Then ssyellow might be able to come down from Lapeer to there. I am game I could make it there anytime from noon on.

Bill, again thanks a TON for the opportunity to check out the Cobalt SS GM Stage 1, you did an excellent job with both the LSJ and LNF and I'm thoroughly impressed. ^^^ if thats you, Brian, then I think you'd still destroy it with your race car cobalt. I forget what you have done to it, other than it has racing parts, turboed and tuned via HPT yourself, if memory serves me correctly.

Regardless, GM stage 1 is decently faster than a stock LNF and to have that sort of reliable power and your 5yr/100k warranty still intact, its a good deal too. I have no doubt you're way faster, its probably comparable (though still not as fast) to Brent's new white turbo with his mods/your tune.

it would help point out if i need to hit it with the OE cal tools and jump into the fuel side to allow my targeted cam numbers. sounds like awesomeness.






ps- not a race car, still runs on pump gas and can be driven in traffic.

 

I will be at Great Lakes Crossings from about 1:00 to 3:00 pm today, Saturday August 22nd, in front of Bass Pro. I have a red Cobalt SS and will be wearing a tan SS hat. If you can make it come on out and experience the Stage 1 kit

Hey Bill, any plans for Sunday August 23rd? I work for GM at MPG and own an '09 SS. Would love to have you show me the '10! Let me know! I'm in Livonia... Maybe meet up somewhere around hines drive for some twisty road/scenic driving? It spans from Dearborn to Northville, so there's several miles of good driving. Or if somewhere closer to Grosse Pointe is better for you, I could swing that if it's between 1-4PM or so.

currently i am living in grand blanc(just south of flint)

i have a meeting with someone tomorrow at 1pm or so in clarkston so i will be down more or less your way...i don't want to have you driving all around michigan to show a couple people the car, if you some what close to clarkston area i would love to meet up, but no need to drive out of you way for me.

 

Can you do Great Lakes Crossing around noon? I will need to confirm with you but that looks doable on my end.

Great Lakes Crossing is a bit too out of the way for me...I could swing the Royal Oak area...say near the Detroit Zoo...maybe the Woodward and 12, 13, 14 mile area..No big deal if it's not do-able

Koz, I can do the Royal Oak Area around 4 pm if you can make it. I am not sure if we can meet in the Zoo parking lot. There is a McDonalds at 13 in Woodward on the west side. If that is OK PM me to confirm please.

Koz, With the closure of 696 this weekend I might be able to get to Livonia easier than Royal Oak. Is there a good place to meet in Livonia that I could find. Perhaps some place a Laural Park Place? Or Some Where along Plymouth Road? let me know. It looks like I could make 4 pm.
