wheel spacer

im ordering a set of 18x8 rims for my car and was wanting to clear that space between the side of the tire and the outer finder. would throwing a 5mm spacer between the rim and rotor hurt anything. do you think itll push it out to much. Im lowered on tenzo springs if that helps any.

5mm is almost nothing. 7mm is equal to 1/4 inch so you're just spacing them maybe 3/16ths of an inch. I think that'll be fine.

I have been in touch with Enkei recently. I talked with a rep named King. He told me there is a new wheel coming out around the end of Sept. and they haven't fully decided if they're going to include our 5X110. He told me if there was enough interest they would build this wheel. It is a race wheel weighing LESS than 16# and priced about the same as the RPF1. Everybody interested in wheels should call this number, ask for King and tell him you want wheels for your Cobalt SS. He also told me the new wheel is being built to clear Brembos and probably in a 17" as well. EVERYBODY GET ON THE PHONE AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS, RELATIVES AND EVEN ENEMIES TO CALL. The more interest we can generate the better our chances. This is a NEW wheel so tooling won't be as big a factor as custom wheels, which they don't want to get involved with. 800-875-3100 CALL
