You don't have to hold the ignition key when starting the car. You just bump the key and let go. It just keeps turning the starter until the motor fires up. I found that out today when my greasy fingers slipped off the key. This is probably something only I didn't know.
u know i noticed that the other day, i let go cuz it usually fires up right when i turn it, haha i was like what the **** auto start? jk i didnt know if it was ok to let go haha smart baby balt

Newer Ducatis are like this as well, took me awhile to get accustomed to it. The Cobalt has yet to do anything other than all but instantaneously bust off but the Hyper will sit there and crank for a bit all by itself at times leaving me sitting there going humm?. It'll finally time out and quit if things are not to it's liking. dww
