With an Exedy you get the whole shebang though.

And it is a cromoly steel lightweight flywheel.

Not Aluminum.

i have it in mine. i couldnt be happier. i hate a soft pedal feel, the exedy is a firm pedal and grabs like hell. it chatters quite a bit(6 puck style) but once you learn to drive with it, it rarely does it

Chatter and driving have nothing to do with one another.

Chatter happens when you are idling and foot off the clutch.

Exedy has a smidge of it.

Not much, it's quieter than the DI sounds.

You wanna hear a great example of clutch chatter youtube ducati clutch chatter.

A lot.

I forget the exact shop time it is...something close to 10 hours IIRC.

Are you sure ?? I always though chatter was a vibration in the clutch when letting it out or a shaking you could feel in the pedal when engaging.

well, i mean, i had the cm stage 4 installed along with all my other mods up at hahn racecraft, so i dont really know what to tell ya as far as how much it would cost to have somebody throw one in for ya, but like i said, its well worth it, especially if you're planning on hitting 400+whp.. it does rattle a lot though, sitting in the car, with the cutout open even, i can hear it clackin... its whatever though.

LOL I don't think i could stand that at a stop light. I generally agree with most of the stuff you say So i'm not trying to argue or anything like that.

Here's GM service information talking about chatter.

Service Information
2009 Chevrolet Cobalt | Cobalt, G5 (VIN A) Service Manual | Document ID: 2102399
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Clutch Grabbing

DEFINITION: The clutch grabs, or chatters, the clutch is unable to release without the vehicle jerking. An abrupt engagement of the clutch.

Review the Symptoms - Clutch and perform the necessary inspections.

That is just the noisy big FWD trans we have, and they probably didn't wanna put clunk but, that's what I would better describe it as.

Those are EXTREME cases of chatter as well.

With a hypersingle and you're at a red light you'll all be

"WTF IS THAT SOUND?!?!?!??!one!!!><!!!uno"

:press in the clutch:

"Oh, uh huh huh, cool"
