Secret Unmarked Car?
I saw this today. It was an Impala with no plates whatsoever, front or back (no temp plates even), windows tinted below legal limits (could only barely make out the guy's hand on the steering wheel), and had a police band antenna on the back.
Suspicious?
Anybody know what that could be all about?

Im my area they use completely unmarked impalas. no antennas, no visible strobe lights or spot lights. Plain regular old NH plates. The cops inside dont even wear a regular uniform, Just polos. Even the onboard computer sits really low. All different colors also. Not the typical white or dark blue.
Oops... sorry... Impala. Corrected it. Thanks.
I looked for a computer and didn't see one at least. It was very hard to see in though. That confused me even more as to what it could be!

The interesting thing was the combo of things though... super tinted windows, no plates, and a police antenna. If somebody just jacked their plates that doesn't explain the special antenna.
I've seen that alot. Whenever I see that antenna I start to pay close attention.
The most undercover car i've ever seen was back in North Carolina. It was a regular soccer mom minivan. Saw him speed by me and pull somebody over. It was unexpected.
But i think thats police. The antenna plus ultra dark tint makes me think UC

Most of those will be unmarked traffic units, they will pull you over. We have alot of them in Houston now ever since they approved that they are allowed to pull you over in a unmarked units , it used to not be that way about 4 months ago. Dont do anything stupid around them they will pull you over lol BTW if they do pull you over it will most likely be HPD which mainly drive chargers and Crown Vics and DPS will be impala and Crown Vics lol
DUDE.
You live in Texas and you haven't seen the ******* so called 'GHOST CARS'? These are the most evil police cars ever.
They come in all kinds of colors- white, black, gray, blue, red, and they are completely unmarked except for a reflective POLICE decal on the side. You can't even see the decal until it's too late.

This one didn't have "Police wheels", pit bar, nor the spot light though. I didn't make out any reflective writing on the side either.
I looked pretty closely, but that doesn't mean it wasn't there I don't guess. That still doesn't explain the police antenna on it though.
And so the mystery continues....

If its a unmarked units and he just got it, meaning the department just issued it to him but still has no plates, they can still drive it with out tags , yeah they might get pulled over but only get questioned and thats it. My stepdad has a unmarked unit that has plates from 2000 and no inspection sticker and they still tell him to drive it. lol
