i mean put the stock spring back in. the dejon spring is worthless and hurts the turbo. causes surges after use for a while.

Doesn't really matter, as long as the rubber diaphragm is there all is good.
That's not compressor surge you're hearing, the bov simple flutters like that at low boost.

yeah it does that because the dejon spring weakens over time...not allowing the solenoid to fully open quickly all the time.

thus making surging and fluttering

use the stock spring...fluttering is normal under low boost with the HKS...should be good once you swap the springs out.

If your have the block off plate the spring is not sopposed to be in there. Have someone rev the car up while your under the hood fluttering is not coming from bov. Had same problem.

I had it hooked up without the stock spring in the BPV...CEL came on...put the stock spring back in the BPV...CEL went away. Just food for thought.

Hey Pookie, I replied to you on youtube... didn't make the connection you were on here too.

There may be a spring tension adjustment or some other adjustment on the BOV. Since you've got the block off plate, the spring you had in the stock BPV shouldn't matter anymore. I'd adjust the BOV to have less tension so it completely vents the air and doesn't open late/close early, causing that flutterdump/surge.

If all else fails, you may have to look into a different kind of BOV that will get you the venting you need.
