Well new thread to my old one to make sure noone makes same mistakes I did. They could not get any peddle pressure after the install of my stage3 clutch and and aluminum flywheel. Dealership mechanic who is working on it owns his own transmition shop. Because he is taking the clutch and flywheel out for cheep would cost me a grand for the dealership to do it. Clutchmasters had nothing to say but well we will take a look at it when it gets here and see what the problem is. I reply with the problem is you are advertising the wrong clutch and just cost me a grand in labor so what are you going to so about that. They are going to cover the the price of the products. Once they get them back. Do not buy clutchmasters it will not work.

they have talked to the dealer several times. i should not have to pay for them to rip my tranny back apart and take their clutch out. you tell me you wouldnt be a little pissed?
1 x Clutchmasters Stage 3 clutch 08+ Chevrolet Cobalt SS (243177-III) = $599.991 x Clutchmasters Aluminum Flywheel 08+ Chevrolet Cobalt SS (243178) = $399.99
dont got the clutch itself. this is modernperformance.com. i work away from home had the clutch about 3 months ago all the numbers matched up when i got them.
ill be checking with them asap.
guy at the dealership and clutchmasters matched up numbers and told me they were right also. ive done all i can being 8 hours away i made a thread 3 weeks ago with no information of anyone else having this clutch installed. i appreciate the ive send PM's emails out to eveyone i can in hope for an answer.

i have a clutchmasters fx300 and i can honestly say it was worth every penny. Verrrryyy goood clutch and has held up to one hell of a beating. My shop installed it in 3 hours, went together perfect.
I also bought mine from Mondern Performance and its been sitting in my closet for 5 months now... I will have it installed within the next two weeks and I'll keep you posted.
But is this for a 2.0LNF cobalt?

Dumb question, but is it possible the OP got an LSJ clutch or flywheel (even if the box says correct)? Its been a few months but I remember reading a post about having to use the throwout bearing setup depending on which car the clutch was meant for.... let me see if I can find it.
EDIT: Found the thread and it made it sound like it would still work, just you'd have peddle enguagment height issues.

I just got my clutch masters FX300 installed and I am having the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS. I can barely get the car into any of the gears from a stop and when I do, the car starts creeping like I'm letting out on the clutch peddle. I really have to put all my weight on the clutch peddle in order to get it to shift. Can someone please help me out on why this clutch is not working out or should I just get a SEPC clutch coming and return the clutch masters? Any help would be greatly apperciated!!!
