I was actually just thinking about that last night. I really hope GM makes a Cruze SS and does it RIGHT. I really like the front of the car and an even more aggressive front end (SS style) would look awesome. Hopefully the offer it in (at least) a coupe and change up the rear-end 'cause it looks horrible on the Cruze sedan. LNF-type performance/potential would be great. We'll see... I'm pullin for the General on this one.

Honestly, I'm expecting the same thing. I don't know why but I have a feeling it may not be an "SS". I'm thinking something in the "Z" series as well, but we shall see.

and gm knows about that photoshop.. there was a thread about it .. and when they got the chop they said they were surprised there wasn't more pull for the astra redline...

I think they would be dumb to NOT make a high performance model of the Cruze (but I think we are all on the same page there lol). And that concept photochop is real nice! However when I look at it I can't help but think it would end up being like a Scion TC in real life (the roof line to the trunk area anyway)? But either way 4 bangers are the new way to get good performance and good MPG and I am glad to see that at least SOMEONE at GM sees it too.

Yeah I passed it along to them, along with other ideas I had. They liked the look :thumb: I thought you knew about all this. This was a while back now.

they "disbanded" them, but they all still work for GM there is just now officel GM performance division . all they did was get rid of the title so they could get some Obama bucks. so you may not beable to buy a SS or Z## but you may be able to get get a curze sport with a "optional" 2.0l turbo engine and "Optional" performance suspension/areo package :lol: loop holes ...gm loves them.

Also available is the 210 hp DI 2.4, can't rule out that motor either (could be a monster boosted).

When I talked to the GMP guys they told me they never really disbanded the dept...more like just moved all the lower end guy off the different project for a while and the top dogs stayed in place. But some future development stuff was put on hold for while...I hope that stuff back on track.

The cruze tho is well a bove the cobalts league especially in the interior . It looks like a mini cts inside plus alot of refinements to the delta chassis . Plus gm has come an amazingly long way since the cobalt was designed back in the early 2000's , and a long way would b an understatement .

I will work on the rims when I get in home in a couple hours , they were a qwikie job and I can do waaaaay better . Btw, while similar to the Holden wheels those directly off the 2010 insignia vxr ... Do a search n you'll see . I'll work on the lip and front facia more too .

If it's even possible, this chop excites me even more than the other one because it could possibly happen. GM needs the coupe to look EXACTLY like this.

If this were to happen, and the interior is like what we've seen on Cruze pics so far... look out everyone else in this segment. Not only will you be outperformed since the Cobalt does that already, but you will be outstyled and the interior will be on par. Build quality elsewhere remains to be seen, of course.

This chop is making me so moist right now... as I look at it more and more it's basically Cobalt from the front fascia back, as far as the lines go, but with slightly broader shoulders and hips, if you will.

After looking for properly set up pics to chop from , I lost my mind , lolz . Couldnt find matching angles between pics and trying to pull and stretch seats into the right position just put them out of proportion .

I would definitely drop $30-$40k CDN on a Cruze SS... as long as they dropped an LNF in it with a larger turbo then the TC's and made it AWD ;)
