I would just remove the trim piece, then paint it correctly, then put it back

what kinds of places would sell vinyl stiickers in long sheets? and yes I am going for the cop car look. already got front and rear flashers. I already lightly sanded down the trim and masked it all off to paint it, but if their is an easier way, I'll shoot for it.

So are you actually a cop or what? Cuz I think it's impersonating a police officer, which has just recently become a felony...

law states a person has to identify themself a law enforcement officer either by saying he/she is or by showing a badge of some sort. chevy impalas have the black strip on the sides. i just think it adds to the look of the car. if it was impersanating a "police car" taxis would not have spotlights on their cars either.

He is a private investigator if I had to guess by looking at his s/n. My buddy just bought a black Impala and we took the hubcaps off, drilled and tapped the steel wheels and installed some 9C1 centercaps. As long as there are not red/blue in that car you won't get in trouble. If you want to get those centercaps look on Ebay if you are going for the police car look. This is was my first car although I bought it like this:

Don't listen to them. Just take a paint brush to it and have fun.
