Here is a group purchase we thought about having when they first came out. We are willing to do it, if we see enough interest:

They are available in 4 stages. Also, they have an aluminum flywheel available.

FX100 is an Organic disc that will hold 70% over stock. Retails at $645.
FX200 is a Kevlar disc that will hold 70% over stock. Retails at $775.
FX300 is a Kevlar disc that will hold 100% over stock. Retails at $775.
FX400 is a Ceramic disc, available in 4 or 6 pucks, which will hold 168% over stock. Retails at $745.

These do include the Slave cylinder and throw out bearing.

Flywheel is a light weight aluminum, which retails at $475.

Everyday low pricing will be 5% under retail. However, here is what the group purchase would be:

The % off the website price would be as follows:

4+ Clutches would be 5% off the everyday low price
7+ Clutches would be 7% off the everyday low price
10+ Clutches would be 10% off the everyday low price

Every Flywheel counts as ˝ a clutch on the above table. For example, 2 clutch and flywheel combos, would at 3 clutches to the above table.

Shipping is $25 per Clutch and $15 per Flywheel.

Anyone interested in doing a group purchase on clutch masters email Aaron@turbotechracing.com with the subject. "Group Buy Clutch Masters" Include what you are interested in, (what clutch and if a flywheel) also when you would be considering purchasing one. If we get 5+ emails stating memebers are ready now, we will do the group purchase.

This is also on another forum with redlines, so between the two sites we should be able to get everyone good prices :)

So this is for 2.0? I didnt see this listed on Clutchmasters site, sweet if for the 2.0! How do they compare to the Spec Clutches?

Spec is cheaper, but anyone have experiences with clutch master?

As stated in the first post, the % off on the above table comes off of the online price.

Meaning we dont sell at retail for an everyday low price.... We sell at 5% under.....
With this group purchase you take an addition % off the current online price, depending on the number of members in on it.

Spec clutches are as low as we will go. They are the prices online and they are already 10% off. No chance of and specials on them anytime soon.

Yes this is for the 2.0

The SPEC brand clutch only includes the pressure plate and disc. This includes the pressure plate, disc, TOB, etc.

So spec doesnt give you all the parts to install the clutch you need extra's? thats pretty wack... How much do those parts cost? They are included in a normal clutch install?

Is the flywheel necassary? I'm not a big guru with trannys.

fly wheel is not needed, but if you get a light weight one like the one they offer it helps you rev faster, and takes weight off your drivetrain which should make you a bit quicker.

Does the clutch masters clutch have directions as far as install and how to use the to0ls?

also It would be really kool to get a descrition of each, exact specs, pictures, etc.

Something tells me if you do the above this will be much more successful.

IM looking for something that is still streetable but can handle Stage 2 cobalt SS with all bolt ons, and maybe a smaller pulley down the road.

From what we now see with spec, we would only suggest the "Plus" + series, they seem to do really well.

Typical benefits of a lightweight flywheel for various engine types:
Reduced mass equals increased acceleration.
A lightweight flywheel works particularly well with turbo-charged engines because it reduces typical turbo lag.
Increased supercharger efficiency due to less parasitic drag on the crank.
Improved mid-range torque in a normally aspirated engine due to not having to overcome the heavy weight of a stock flywheel.
CM uses only 6061-T6 aircraft grade or better billet aluminum in the manufacturer of its flywheels.
CM uses High Carbon steel for the friction surface. (Replaceable)
CM uses an OEM steel ring gear secured by bolts.
CM offers a limited lifetime warranty.
CM Billet Aluminum Flywheels meet SFI Spec 1.1 or 1.2

This thread is about 8 months old now.

But yea, Nothing but bad things about CM. They keep blaming bad installs the reason. They refuse to own up that there is a problem.
