Like the title says, I would like some baseline dyno numbers on my 2.4L before I do anything on the performance side of things, but I haven't been able to find anything with regards to when it's cool to dyno a new engine. A buddy of mine suggests waiting until after 5000k and my first oil change but that seems excessive to me. I'm thinking more along the lines of 1500k. I searched the dyno threads on this board and messed around on google a bit and came up empty. I've never been to a shop for a dyno pull before so I'm a bit clueless. Any advice?

Taking to a dyno is no different then flooring it and redlining it on the road. Since its new I'd give it 2000kms.

id say this engine opens up more after the 1st oil change and throw some full synthetic in there to free up some more hp

I'm thinking you and my buddy have a good point. I was planning on going synthetic at my first change anyways, so I'll wait until I'm at least 5k into the car. I'll just start building a collection of exhaust components in my apartment and hopefully get the dyno done in late summer :)
