Eibach or H&R????
OK from my personal research, the most I would be willing to pay for springs would be 250, therefor pedders are out.
Since you have a SS/SC I can help cuz thats what I have (TC's have different suspension and so they have nasty opinions on sportlines, etc)
The basic ones I looked at in my price range were H&R, Eibach Sportlines, and Progress.
Sportlines and Progress have a very similar to stock spring rate, so not much if any comfort loss, and both have the same drop I believe (1" in front 1.5" in rear)
H&Rs are a little harsher from what I hear and drop a tad bit lower than sportlines or progress.
My opinion: I'm going to get the Progress springs because the drop is what I want, comfort level is what I want.
You may say "Sportlines offer the same stuff from what you said" which is true but Sportlines tend to get some rubbing sounds from them because of the coil bind they make. Our suspension is already noisy enough... although you can't beat a million mile warranty, so factor this in for yourself.
H&R for me would be pushing it as roads here suck and I don't want to bottom out more than needed, nor do I want to get new struts anytime newer than needed (lower drop, more strut wear)
All 3 have great looks to them, this is just what I have gathered from members on the forums rants and praises.
*disclaimer* once again most of this is from what I have heard from other members, seen from pictures, and read up on websites. You may get sportlines and have no noises coming from it, or may get a great comfort from H&R. I am just personally leaning towards progress because I have heard 0 complaints about them.

h&r ftw. Ive seen cobalts with eibach's that still look higher than other stock cars. Friends stock jetta is lower than some guy i know with eibachs. People don't even notice whether cobalts are lowered or not on eibachs if they don't own one. I will admit though that the h&R's are a pretty rough ride.

He has a SS/SC, I agree on base models some springs don't drop it nearly enough but if you put eibachs sportlines on a SS/SC and it doesn't look like you dropped it you either have 20" rims or yo did it wrong.
