Still slower than GM Stage 2 WTF?

*NO THIS IS NOT A WAR STORY*

Alright now that's out of the way, I'll explain the situation.

I have the following on my 07' LSJ:
Injen CAI
OTT Stage 1
ZZP H+DP Combo

I'm in the process of ordering a ZZP S3 H/E, Dual-Pass, and Opt B BUT...

I raced my friends GM Stage 2 with a K&N CAI and he still pulled me by 1.5 cars...

Will the lack of cooling mods make thAt big of a difference??? I thought surely I'd still beat a factory stage 2... I'm so sad now lol!

Help me out guys.

find someone to give you a custom tune and you will be set. do you have an interceptor gauge? with my ottp stage one i am WAY WAY WAY rich. the gauge only goes down to 10 and i am below that for afr!!! i will be getting a custom tune soon and be much faster

get yourself a front mount HE. then CUSTOM TUNE!!! none of that OTTP canned tune bs, you have a different altitude, different humidity etc etc... you will not have the same or similar parameters that OTTP tune is based on.

Also could be driver mod.

so everything in your signature is bullshit?

You don't have a smaller pully and wonder why you are slower without a tune.

Hmmm

I'm pretty sure it's not a driver issue. Not to be arrogant.

Like I said before, the HE, dual pass, and option b all go on within a week... I'm just concerned because even with cooling mods I feel like it's going to be slower than it should. There are no tuners in my area other than dyno and I can't front $400+ for a dyno tune right now...

Is the ZZP tune worth anything?

not that ZZP is a bad company but you need a custom tune.

If you aren't recording knock retard or IAT2 then we have no way of telling if you are running hot.

Nah the sig is accurate. OTT stage 1 includes 60's, 2.8 pulley, 1step plugs, and PCM.
As for the HE, dual pass, and OptB, I changed my sig as soon as I ordered it. It's not on yet lol

No, yet another canned tune.
You need a CUSTOM tune. If you can't front the dyno tune then you will have to wait, or find a tuner in the surrounding area... Pay to play.

Well considering that during my past check-up at chevy they told me my cooling system needed attention... I'm pretty darn sure the bitch runs hot as ****. I can even feel the heat soak after 1 pull, hence all the cooling mods on order

Actually I'm about an hour and a half outside Orlando. If you're familiar with where Brooksville or Spring Hill is...

Pretty much take Colonial (rt-50) west outside for an hour and a half and I'm right off that.

well any canned tune is hit and miss. ottp does there best to get it close. but they will never be perfect for everybody. now a custom tune will be pretty much perfect.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. My OTT tune isn't that great but like you said it's the best they can do. They're still a good supplier. How much are rates normally for dyno tuning?

Oh and now that the weather is getting colder, I would stop beating on the car until you get your cooling mods installed.

or KABOOOOM

Yeah definitely don't want any kabooms...

Like I said though, All the cooling mods are enroute...

I'll have to look into dyno tuning since I don't have a wideband...
