I dont know whats wrong with the car but these might be the lowest numbers for a 2.7 I have ever seen and its on my car. Its been tuned by Zac so I dont know what to say really but wow why so low. I believe this is on stock 13 degree timing.

DYNO'S MEAN NOTHING!!! Does it feel faster? Does it run better at the track? Those are the real questions. Dyno's are 100% worthless unless you're either looking for bragging rights or for tuning.

btw, I can't see the sheet here at work, what's the numbers?

wow, that's rough. It's a pretty bad 60, which is severely impacting your 1/4 time. But your trap is no different than a stock car. If you got your 60 down to a 2.0 you'd be well into the 13's. That being said, I would work on your launching. Based on the 60, I would say you need some practice driving. Don't take that personally, i'm not bashing. More track time will help get those times down.

uh, that's actually pretty bad for your mods. Trap speed is WAY down.

If you are truely on 13 degrees of timing, that might be what is killin you. Maybe you got a lot of knock or something? I'd talk to Zach about fixing your tune, I know he's a good tuner.

Agreed, dyno before and after would be the ONLY worthy data. Track times mean more yet.

Yea, at first I was thinking the car could be pulling timing for high IAT2's but its not apparent on the sheet. So the only thing I can think of would be timing is not adjusted according to the mods. the dyno also logged with hptuners and theres was no knock retard.

that's what it seems like. Not running hardly any timing will really kill you on these cars. What's your A/F like?

on they dyno it was really lean. They were using the sensor that hooks up to the muffler itself to read it. On two runs it was 13.0xx and 12.9xx. Which is extremely lean and Zac has fixed this issue since the run.

Tail pipe sniffers can be affected by exhaust leaks.. is the stock tip welded all the way around? if it's just tacked on taht could be pulling in air and skewing the readings

Exaclty! good point I actually found two leaks after the runs just as you have stated. it was not welded 360 degrees around.

did zach not use a wideband to tune you? Do you not have a wideband installed?

Is your intercooler pump working ? and are you on the stock clutch?

I have no w/b, which I know I should have one and will get one when funds are available.Zac did not use a wideband to tune. he used a hptuner log since a friend has hp tuner software to see how his tune was doing on the car. Pump was working at the time, we made sure prior to starting the car and stock clutch.

pay zach to tune u on the dyno ur tq curve is all over the place. street tunes can only do so much u gotta do both.

I think that's your problem right there. The only person I've ever seen tune a car without even needing to use a wideband was Area47. Zach is a good tuner, but you can only do so much without seeing AFR. I for sure can't tune a car without a wideband. I have a LM1 that carry with me.

Get a wideband and get retuned.

Don't even worry about that dyno crap. Street tuning is where it's at.

alot of the ppl on here making good power do both street and dyno tune.
neither one is better than the other, u need both imo.

I personally think Dyno's are great measuring tools to see what you picked up.

But imitating the load that street tuning provides is just not going to happen.

but it can help with the power curve

exactly, you may think its dialed in on the dyno... then you run a full point leaner on the road... all money and time just went in the garbage, street tuning is were its @ with a WB of coarse, zach should know that. i dont touch cars without em...

Sometime the IC pump will appear to flow but at a very low rate.
And as for the clutch , i didn't realize my clutch was slipping until i replaced it lol.
everyone thinks a slipping clutch is noticeable , but its not always the case. when i broke my trans i i replaced the clutch with the GM upgrade. my stock clutch was so glazed you could sun bath with it. and once the new clutch was broken in it was a night and day difference.

i would say every dyno is different ,but your trap speed is pretty sad.
could be your tune.
could be your clutch slipping at high rpm
could be your ic pump not working at full capacity thus causing high iat's
could be all of the above. start with the easiest /cheapest first and work your way up.

if you take the pump off you can bend the tabs on the back and open it up alittle to blow out some of the carbon from the brushes.

It's obvious what the problem is. His tune. He was tuned without using a wideband. And he's barely running any timing. That car has a lot more in it.

ding ding ding! you have won a lovely get away to:

css members dont know shit!!!

first you will start with a lovely stay in the 2.2 section were you'll be pumped full of so many Intake/Exhaust questions your eyes will pop out your head!

follow that with the good old lnf "what r u boosting section" were you will here so much bs, you wont wanna eat steak for months!

it all winds down with a stop off over in the drag racing section, were there's so much fail you'd rather be at a chess competition

stay tuned for more information, and get away details!

but his first mistake was tuning with no wideband.....
