nice numbers, but if your stock you shouldnt be see'ing those numbers at all unless that dyno just reads super high. this means if you get tuned and are putting down 350, on a different dyno expect 330 or so.

most dynos are not good for comparing to other dynos, just use that as your base number so that when you bolt toys on or tune you can check your gains.

Ya, them along with the customer already know they are going to break something, but are doing it for R&D i guess. They are pretty highly talked about in the Evo community. They are putting down good numbers on the new X's. If i lived closer, i'd go to them.

BUMP for that one i have catless downpipe, intake, muffler delete, and dejon bpv spring and only got 254whp, and 277whp....not tuned yet. but like previously posted not all dynos are the same thheyre just a measurement tool, why you should get tuned on the same dyno you get your first dyno done on.

Ding Ding Ding ......Winner. Dyno numbers are a tool .......not a BENCHMARK. The only person these numbers should really mean anything to... is the OP, just a baseline to assess future mod's.

Hey,

I have the Turbo upgrade kit on hand but am tired of waiting. The kits say 290hp and 340trq like everyone knows.... I went into a performance shop to see about dyno tuning the car. They want $350 and said i could gain around 15hp at the wheels. Is that good or should i just wait for the darn kit to come out???

What are people HP and TRQ #'s after dynoing? My car is completely stock
Thanks,
Garrett

if they know what theyre doing (tuning a direct injection car) and that price includes the dyno time you should probly be able to make more power than that with the upgraded turbo kit, ..... there are guys making those numbers on the stock turbo!!!!! completely stock/untuned you should be at around 240hp give or take and 260tq at the wheels give or take many variables. but yes 350 for a dyno tune is a good price.

why i said give or take it depends on alot of things, outside temp, altitude, car temps, DYNO but that is right around where the car should be i dynoed a 254hp stock

So are you saying to do the dyno or use the GM tune?

1badblueberrySC- im thinking about taking it to RPM out on 70 East in Garner. Think there any good? i went in and talked to them about it the other day.

1badblueberrySC- i just saw your sig. Do you tune cars???

PS i work at Hendrick Chevy. I have seen and riddin in the Blue berry machine. haha We call it the Purple People Eater LOL

*Ding* +1

If you want a true representation of the kind of power your car has, see what your trap speeds are in the 1/4 and how many mph you pick up on the last 1/8 of a mile. This would not necissarily be your best time, but the mph would show the potential.

All dyno's can be MADE to show any number you want. I am just a bit familiar with the OP's dyno because i know of the shop in the Evo world.
