Has anyone cammed an LE5? I just saw this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdHwichB8eg and I LOVE how it sounds! Almost sounds like a V8 lmao. So if anyone here has cammed their LE5, please get a vid! I wanna hear how it sounds!

I know it is, that's why I asked for a video of a cammed LE5 aka 2.4

 

A few have cammed their 2.4L. IIRC there isn't much gain to be had when changing cams.

 

They gained 30 whp or something like that. The problem is almost everyone has had some pretty bad install issues or JBP never sent the cams.

 

intake,headers,dp,catback,cams with a good tune would put a 2.4 into the 200whp range. My guess would be 220 or so

 

That ****** matt with the stage 2 comp cams. His **** is slow and his riced out cobalt runs like ****. He used to live about a mile away from me or so. Not sure if he still does. That cars a joke

sounds like a hate on the driver more. Ive been in a stage 2 cammed 2.2 cobalt. Dynoed 190whp, its quick, much quicker then my 2.4 ss

 

so who sells cams for the LE5s?

 

JBP but half the time they don't ship them out. To many horror stories.

 

It's a mixture of both. His car is done terribly and he whines about the meets not being in a parking garage all "Tokyo Drift Style" to be exact.



His tune he's running on it was horrible last time I've seen it. Nowhere near what it should be. Copson(who's a legit cammed 2.2) is much quicker and has a much more respectable car. Also he tire shines his engine bay and dash.

I wouldn't know he refuses to run me. and I should be down in Chesterfield this thursday at the sonic. And I'll also be at the Hooters in SoCo today(The 18th) for the monthly meet.

Yes you can. I wish more companies would make cams for the 2.4L

Dude, I have been wondering if the 1st owner of my Cobalt had installed cams because my car sounds and idles exactly like that!
