cant get out of my own car

Lately i have been having a hard time opening my drivers side door. It is almost like the latch is frozen and it just wont catch. The car does this to me every time the temperature falls around 50 degrees so i know it isn't freezing. And on the rare occasion that i can get out of my car without a fight, the door will not close with out me slamming the **** out of it. It works just fine if the temperature outside is above 50 degrees. Has anyone had any experience with this? I want to love this car but its little things like this that are making me think otherwise.

I think there was a tsb out on that.
I think its just a door handle replacement to fix it.

Did you lube the latch yet.

it's the latch that locks onto the striker bolt in the B pillar. lube it up. it is sticking. i had this problem 2 years ago. and stop slamming your door.

It's very common for the cobalts. especially in colder weather.

Thanks for the help. It was the latch sticking and a lot easier to fix than i thought. Greased it up and its been working great.
