Canyon Cruiser 08-22-2006, 05:21 PM can i just get the brackets
The Ingalls Stiffy is designed to work as a unit. The brackets are only sold in the kit. This will help avoid damage by mixing two different parts that were not designed to work together. The Stiffy is only 160-180 bucks depending on which vendor you go to. Paul at Dezod will take care of you.

I have heard this does cause some probs with the trans and a noise coming from it.
Dezod 10-26-2006, 12:16 PM I have heard this does cause some probs with the trans and a noise coming from it.
Yes it does cause some small degree of noise and vibration, which are heavily dependent upon the setting of the damper. However, this can be easily resolved with some DynoMat, which is available through your local stereo shop.
The benefits of this unit, far out weigh the downfalls. With performance there is always trade-off.
Canyon Cruiser 11-06-2006, 12:44 PM The main issue of noise that is being described arises to a degree of being noticeable mainly when the dampers stiffness has been adjusted and the length wasn't readjusted. If the dampers stiffness is adjusted the length changes and the either shortens or lengthens the ETD's total length. Length is a very IMPORTANT part in controlling vibrations. Your dampers holes should line up perfectly with the ETD's brackets. Let me know if this helps you with any vibrations you might run into.
