Alright let me just say thank you GMPP, very awesome upgrade.

I ran into my first problem not 4 miles from the dealership.

I got on the highway on ramp. Car boosted to 23psi no problem and then I merge.
On down the road the car sounded funny and I could only boost 5psi.
Then the CEL came on and i checked them on my DashHawk.

P0098 Intake Air Temp Sensor 2 Circuit
P0238 Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit too high

Restarted the car a few times and same result. No boosting over 5 psi and I noticed an insane amount of turbo surge/flutter

Got home looked on our beloved CobaltSS.net and found it. The lower MAP sensor had come unplugged, it's a hellish tight fit and doesn't quite snap into place.

I finally got it working and let me tell you, this car is great. I boost 23psi and hold 21-22. It will light the tires up in second and the turbo screams like a bitch.

Car pulls much harder and the torque is so obvious, torque steer galore.

Last but not least my LTFT went from -4-5% to -0.8%. That is great news, no misfires, no KR and my intercooler never got warm.

Great day for all.

Note: When installing
Power Upgrade Kit part number 19212670 on the HHR
SS and Cobalt SS, the TMAP for the fresh air duct between
the intercooler and the engine must be trimmed

I bet they did not do this.. that is why it is a tight fit.

DId you get the part from the dealer or did you order it yourself.

ordered myself and had dealer install it. I wonder if they did trim it

It also may be due to aftermarket intercooler and angle.

Im confused, is the ECM calibration now out for the cobalt?...because i know the kit is, but on crate engine depot, its say the calitbration is not due out for another 30 days, but it has said that for awhile now.

Can't wait to get this installed. Should have the 1st k&n intake on my SS/TC next week if all goes well.

When alot of dealerships install the kit, they try and install the lower intercooler pipe sensor from the top instead of removing the tube completely out of the car so they can perform the splicing of the connector easier. The tech who installed my kit I found from searching forums. He has done several installs and introduced himself along with giving me the run down on the extra steps he took to make sure the post installation results were trouble free.

Just a little update. I used tape to keep the sensor in place. I have driven for a month and a half with no movement.
