LED 3rd Brake Light > (who have it)
I have a question for those who have done the 2004 Imapla LED 3rd Brake light mod.
>I installed it last night and did a test before buttoning everything up...and the LED's lit up fine. I then disconnected it to verify mounting and after triple checking the + and - and re--installing I then buttoned everything up and guess what It blew the fuse, the #10 Red.
Now either when I put the wires in the housing they touched, or it won't work with TC fuses.
QUESTION: Has anybody done it to a TC yet, and for those who have done it on their SC's how many fuse are for the CHMSL or "center hight mounted stop light". My car has a large cube style Fuse/Circuit breaker and also the #10 Red Fuse next to that.
Thanks for all the help in resolving this issue.

the fuses shouldn't be any different. A 10 amp fuse is a 10 amp fuse no matter which car it's in. as long as the fuse fits in the slot and is the same size it will work. Your wires must have either crossed accidently or touched the bare metal. Just take it back apart and tape up the wires in electrical tape, then replace the fuse.

Yea they probably crossed wires after I jammed them in the housing...cuz I know A is + and B is -, got'em wrapped up well with electrical tape now....Done and Done.
Replaced the Fuse and Re-Installed it today.
Works slick....maybe post a pic who knows when...
Thanks for the suggestion.
I actually wanna upgrade all my 2.4 fuses to SS/TC fuses. I heard the ones they use in the turbo Cobalt are way better. And you gain like 10-20 whp cause the electronics in your car will be freed up.
I'm one of people that's been running the 04 Impala led 3rd brake the longest. I even wrote the How To. In the 3+ years I've been running this I've only had one problem, and it was caused by the dealership bodyshop crossing the wires. All I had to do was fix the problem. It never blew a fuse or relay.
