It should be able to go in the 155-160 MPH region no problem.

158 mph only at maybe 5500-6000 rpm in 5th im sure if i stepped on it a bit more i could of saw 160. i dont wanna though anymore..**** scarey dotted lines become solid at that speed and tunnle vision mode is turned on.

If stock, your limiter is 155 mph... so 160 mph is not accurate and is just inaccuracy in your speedo.

I wonder if the limiter were turned off on a tuned car without a spoiler what the top speed would be 165, 170?

Not totally true. The stock tune is designed to cut out at 158

Which it will do

you don't get tunnel vision from going fast, you get tunnel vision from prolonged high g forces, which you're not getting in a cobalt lol. cut the ricer crap. If you're truley getting tunnel vision while driving you need to see a doctor asap.

Da,m 160mph is nuts. I would think now that the the rev limter is taking off poeple with a tune would get 170mph.

how much dose the stock high rise slow are cars down

I hit 160+(needle was below the 160 by a little bit) in my old ss/sc, held it for a while at that speed, 5mins ish i guess?. It had full exhaust, stage2, intake. Car had fair amount of bags for my return trip home, my friend, me and his bigass dog(like 70lbs probably). Was pretty freaky, its amazing how much distance you cover in a short amount of time at this speed. If I remember right, I was at 80mph in 5th gear and just held the gas down the whole time in 5th gear. Took a while, but once you are in 110 ish speeds, the 5th gear has some power to it and starts too pick up in acceleration. To be honest, I still had some room in my rev's, but didn't want to try and push it any farther than the 160ish(most likely 160-164ish).

That was the last time I've ever done something so reckless. Too dangerous, one deer and i would have been dead. Not only that, most tires are only rated at about 130ish(unless you get real expensive). Honestly after I sold that car for my TC, I've been driving like a grandpa and babying my car .

SRI, bpv spring upgrade, vacuum tank delete, tune, rear cat hollow out, wingless, rear spare removed, coilover. hit about 135 mph, and got a little scared.
