help a brotha out

OK, I got my SS/TC in april, after about three months the remote for the alarm stopped working. I was in town so walked to a store and got a battery for the remote, that didn't work. Called a friend and went and picked up my spare, worked fine. This morning I go out to the car and the next remote isn't working. Drive to the dealer in my other car and the guy tests out both remotes and says they work fine and to bring the car up and they'll take a look at it. I ask "how"? Guy looks at me like I'm an idiot and says "use the key" . "If I use the key without disarming the alarm I won't be able to turn the alarm off or start the car" guy tells me that's not true.

So the point. If I open the car with the key and don't disarm the alarm will it go off? Thanks for any help, I just don't trust stealerships anymore.

Put the key in the door and unlock it like you would but unlock two time that will disarm it.. and it should be the same to arm it if you want but to the lock side
