Cool I just Got my SS/SC How long do I wait till I race?

I just got my new supercharged cobalt on wednesday not even a week and barely has 350 miles on it. Some people say I need to break it in by driving crazy others say to wait at least 8000 miles before I do anything crazy? So does that mean I have to wait that long till I race my car?

Screw it break it in HARD! Obviously don't dump the clutch or do burnouts but don't be afraid to give it revs just be smooth on the gas and don't hammer it.

well the first week i had the car and i decided i'd do a burn out or 2 i smelt the burning clutch. I did one a week later and theres no more smell lol. None when i get on it either. hmm.. maybe it's startingt to break in. I can't resist racing people on the streets thoo.. hopefully my clutch won't go bad.. im at abuot 400 miles now.

Racing before its "broke in" is a waste because the engine is pretty tight and still isnt producing power to its full potential yet. You beat on it too hard and it will never get there.
