Angry california car duster

this piece of garbage scratched the $hit out of my car, i barely had any swirls on my hood and after using that damn thing it looks like ass. I was better off using my microfiber towel to dust the car.. anyone have this happen to them..is it cause my car is black?

You're definitely in the minority here. You probably had something stuck on it, or you tried dusting it with a lot more dirt than dust on it.

could be, they say it works better the more dirty it gets?? my hood looks real bad though, thats where the most pollen was.

I'm not too sure why, but it's true - it DOES work better dirty. I'm on my second one in about 6 years, as my first just kind of fell apart.

The Cali duster is definitely a hot debaticle topic among the car detailing community. Some hardcore detailers say it's great, while others say it isn't. I personally use it...but sparcely and only in VERY light situations. I have also personally seen it micro-marr paint so there's no doubt it can damage your paint if used incorrectly.
