Searched, couldn't find, Stage Kit Q

I'll be putting my order in for my SS shortly (wanted to gain a little more down payment $$) And the stage 2 kit is going to be one of the first things I put on.

I want to keep my waranty, therefore I have to have the kit installed at the dealer...which is fine with me.

BUT Do I have to buy the kit from the dealer? I see many posts with places selling stage 2 kit for a good price, but if I buy it 3rd party and have it installed at my dealer, will they install it? and will I keep my waranty?

Thanks in advance,
Rich

Just about everyone here has done just that. If they honor your warranty when installing it, then sure. They make money off the labor cost of installing it, so they're still happy.

Now if you can find a dealer that will let you install the parts and have them just do the reflash AND still honor warranty? That's a winner.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm pretty sure I can, I'm in pretty good standings with Ferman Chevy here (havnign purchased 4 vehicles from them)

And I had a friend a while back who bought a 96 z28 (brand new at the time) and had all kinds of aftermarket put on (exhaust, intake, SC) and kept his waranty by having it all installed there.

I'll have to talk to the svc dpt when I go to order, maybe get a printout from one of the cheaper sites that sell the stage 2 and see if they want to price match

If you talk to your dealer they might give a good price on it to. Mine did my kit for just under 800 installed on the car.
