I think I'm going to autocross my car this sunday in Rochester, NY.
It will be my first ever.
I'm deathly afraid of cone marks, how easily do they come off? It would be my biggest reason not to go....

Secondly, any tips for me? I have an LS, so I won't be doing anything too crazy. But I have the sport suspension package.....:)

I've NEVER washed a cone mark off my car. I have all of em on there proudly, but that's just me, I even TRY to leave them on there.

They'll come off, it's just like a scuff you'd get on a shoe, you can just rub it out. If you get a stubborn on you might have to wax it out, but they do come off.

Yes, they should come off without too much elbow grease as alleycat has said.

Battlescars are cool!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. There is more crap that kicks up on my car than a cone will ever hurt.

If you are concerned enough about the conemarks, some people will tape up the front areas of the car with easily removed painters or masking tape. It is a timely process though.

You'll want to make sure the car is well waxed also; this will help remove any marks quite easily.

Personally, I leave them on the car; it shows whether I was turning in too early or too late.

use "Clay Magic" brand and works like a charm w/ minimal elbow grease. i got mine at VatoZone.
