what mag did you make readers rides?
Car looks good! Going wingless becomes a more attractive option everytime I see it! Car looks very good without it!
I wonder how much a new trunklid costs???

I have two thoughts on that. If you are looking to do this find someone with a base cobalt who would do a straight swap then just do the cylinder lock hole. would be the cheapest and you have to do with a new trunk anyway.
the other is get the carbon fiber trunk but paint it. I think yellow or orange looks ok with out painting but I would pait anyway. it is to much carbon fiber. you could paint it an leave some carbon fiber showing. I think that looks hot and classy.

Yeah I guess. I would rather do a new trunk, and keep the stock one intact even if it costs more. I wan't to be able to sell the car in a few years witht he stock trunk and wing. Some 16 year old punk who buys it will want that wing on there!
CF trunk is too expensive and looks ugly on our cars unpainted with our four headlamps (in my opinion). It would be cheaper to buy a new trunklid, paint it and put it on than painting a CF trunk. I really don't want to shave any weigh on the rear end either.

I am not concerned. I plan on keeping this car for quite some time and it would sell. It looks good. and if the kid wants a crazy wing he will buy one. it is not going to stop him from buying our car used. there is not that many of them.
Asphalt Assault 05-31-2006, 11:45 PM Okay the addition of Sportlines is done. My photochop was pretty close to the actual results!

I think this is the best spring kit going. WHy? balanced height when you done. the ride is better than old over sharp edged bumps (you dont feel every crack in the road) the only negative is that it is easier to bottom out the suspension.
I have not cut bump stops as many said it is not needed. If you have and feel its necessary please PM me. that would be great.
Thanks for looking

stweed 10-12-2007, 04:32 PM how many inches did u drop it? and do u bottom out a lot on dips and stuff
Edubs 10-12-2007, 04:38 PM Looks awesome. I can't wait until I can get my antenna/lock and wing shaved...
lucky_lellow06 10-12-2007, 04:47 PM What would posess you to get a shift light? Lol, sorry I'm not trying to bash you, but I just don't understand why someone would have one. There was a stupid shift light on my LS and it drove me crazy.
Edubs 10-12-2007, 04:56 PM Perfect for the track. The LED's are bright enough that he can monitor other things or just concentrate ahead of him and he'll still see it when it comes up. Makes for errorless shifts at the track. Much more consistent, especially if you're bracket racing.

Ah, gotcha. I never really saw a purpose for it especially since it was in an LS. I just figured it was to tell someone who was new to manual, when to shift. Lol, boy was I off! Thanks for the info.
Edubs 10-12-2007, 05:05 PM Well, on the LS you're right. It's to tell the idiots it's time to shift.
All the big boys need em' because when cars start getting into the 12's and faster, they run through gears super fast. It's easier to set a shift light a few hundred RPM before redline then it is to guess on a moving object everytime...
Asphalt Assault 10-12-2007, 06:57 PM THe shift light is more accurate than the tach as well. when I am doing 6500 rpm in first the car will read on the tack about 400 RPM less. the light will go flashing before the tach catches up. puts less thought into when to shift too. I see a flash in the corner of my eye and I just shift.
a real nice feature is it is easy to set the shift light to different rpm. I set it to 5,000 rpm running around in the city cause at that rpm in second I will be at speed limit. I know to shut it down and get less tickets hopefully...LOL
How it looks today
