Red Line $1250 Cust Cash & $250 Marketing. SS $0 and $0...WTF?

SS/SC never has any worth while incentives on it, or if they do they are ones that the average person wouldn't even qualify for! Like the current $750, "Bonus Cash is only available to qualified educational institutes or professional driving schools" Have to be a driving instructor to get it more or less the Dealership said!

RL has $1250 cash and $250 marketing, so $1500 for anyone up for grabs! Is it that the RL needs to the incentives for them to move and the SS sells itself w/o needed help or what?

I think its because Saturn as a company is less known, their cars are not as sought after by the average consumer as a Chevrolet or other GM brand. Hell, in my area I have to drive almost an hour to get to the nearest Saturn dealership. Not because I live in the boonies, but because there just isnt that high of a demand in Ontario Canada for them. In the 1hr drive I bet I could make it to 50 or so Chevy dealerships. Go figure. I wanted to test drive a redline, but wasnt about to travel that distance just to test drive it and continue to make the drive to complete the buying process if interestead. Instead I drove 5 mins to the Chevy dealership

I bet the sales are a lot lower for the RL than the cobalt at this time. They need to move them.

I don't think the SS/SC will ever have incentives on it. They're limiting production to make sure that doesn't happen. I think the most you can hope for is to see incentives on the standard SS's towards the end of the year when they're trying to push out the old models for the new ones.

And the reviews for the redlines aren't that hot.

Where did you get that info, the only cash back I know of is $1250 and that's only if you go with GMAC @ 6.9% interest . No deal there.

We are the redheaded step child there is no doubt about it. The thing about Saturn is it's always been a family vehicle with no oomph while Chevy has YEARS of experience with Z28's, z06's, ss's, etc... showing that they have a history of high performance vehicles. For me, this is a good thing that not nearly as many of the redlines are sold. I like to be a sneaky S.O.B. when coming up on people and with less than 2500 of my year made, it's not too hard.

It all comes down to preference and name brand recognition, but I kind of like sitting in the bushes waiting to pounce on an unsuspecting vehicle who thinks my saturn is a ***** car. Then when I get to yell "You just lost to a saturn...ASS" it feels all the more worthwhile. ahhhhh gets me riled up just thinking about it.

As far as incentives go...yeah Saturn gets quite a few more. Just like the SRT-4 you guys are gonna get jack and squat because more people want a chevy than a Saturn.
