Hello Everyone,
Please be advised that from every manufacturer there is a NATIONAL CARBON FIBER shortage. The US gov. has limited the sale of CF due to the use of it for Military airplanes and equipment. No matter what vehicle it is for, unless the parts are already in the country in a warehouse, they are delayed from overseas for UP TO 6 months...not meaning it could take 6 months, but in certain instances it may. Please be advised that we are on the top of every CF manufacturers list to receive cobalt CF parts as we have been working with them for the past 6 months and they know the importance of us receiving shipments to fill orders.
Anyone who wants anything CF for the next 12 months is going to have to go on a waiting list and will receive the parts as soon as they come in. This is what most vendors are having to do because of the delay and please be advised it is OUT OF EVERY VENDORS HANDS at this point as we are all in the same boat. Everyone is waiting for shipments, once shipment comes in most of the time they are already spoken for/ sold to someone who has been waiting.
If the manufacturer gets 10 hoods sent , we sell 10 and to restock quickly is impossible as it takes them at least 2-3 months to produce them and ship.
Remember this is a newer car, therefore the manufacturers are still in limited production of parts unlike other cars. they still hve feelers out as to not overproduve parts that may not sell.
If you have ordered CF from us expect delays longer then the 5-10 days we advertise. PLEASE TRY TO BE PATIENT becase NO ONE has the products. We have been in contact with every manufacturer andvendor and no one has anything in at this point. It is as frusterating for us as it is for you. But by pre-ordering- it will be the only way to get any CF for the next year.
Most manufacturers are trying to switch to a different weave pattern that is in less demand as well as sourcing out other countries that have less shortages and are able to produce parts.
I know its not what people want to hear but trying to be open and honest here to inform you whats going on before customers get upset waiting for products and so on. We will refund anyone who would like their money back and are not willing to wait . PLEASE BE PATIENT....I know its not easy waiting for parts but this is how things are shaping up in this market. Everyone is loaded with back orders. Everything coming in is already sold.
