How much do you pay for insurance?

I'm trying to get a broad idea of the price range that insurance will cost me every month for full coverage on a 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged. If you'd like to help me get an idea, please post your year/model, and how much you pay. (Please only respond if you have full coverage insurance) I'm trying to figure out if I need to switch insurance companies to avoid being robbed, as I'm a 21 year old male and some companies care about that a lot more than others do.

Thanks,
-Aleckor

There are actually quite a lot of threads on Insurance. I was just hoping to narrow it down a bit to only people who have full coverage SS/SC Cobalts. Plus not everyone has posted in the other threads, and I'd like to get as broad a range as possible. (Plus it's always nice to see what everyone pays anyways, in case you're paying out the nose for no good reason)

I didn't know that you could get cheaper insurance by getting side curtain airbags. Those airbags don't come standard, do they? I thought I remembered them being an option. Maybe I should consider getting them now? Anything to help this insurance go down.

They are an option, and whether they affect your insurance or not probably depends on your company. I think most companies give discounts for safety/security equipment, but I would hesitate to generalize.

Everyone has to have full coverage unless they paid it off, the banks that finance them won't allow you to go less. ;P

this is sad that some of you pay less on insurance for your SS/SC's than I do for my Ion 2.

19 yr. old male, totally clean record, $250/month. I used to pay about $360/month, but my mom recently renewed her homeowner's insurance thru State Farm, where both of our cars are insured. Apparently, that gets you a CrAzY discount.

Well, I don't exactly have the car yet, but up here we have public insurance, and according to the rate calculator, with pretty much every option i can get on insurance here, I'll be looking at about $175 a month.

I go through State Farm, pay about $84.00 a month. I am 33 years old.
It went down as one of the tickets I had came off my license.

I pay $436/month and I'm 18. But I have also had 2 accidents in previous cars and 1 speeding ticket. I'm going thru Allstate. State farm quoted me $579/mo.

Almost same as me, $86.00/month, full coverage with State Farm. 30yrs old, no tickets. Insurance considers me a 'excellent driver' rating.

25 and $96 per month with a million dollar umbrella policey also. So that raises my rates about $8 per month.
