Wink Burn your SS/SC spoiler!

Well I wanted to make an annoucement. I hate the SS/SC spoiler.

It doesn't flow with the lines of the cobalt at all. So who is with me? Join the revolution! Take off your large spoiler and burn it! (or sell it to the base model owners ) Not only does the SS/SC spoiler restrict your rear vision, it wobbles and looks cheap... (not to mention ricer)

You could go with the OEM small spoiler...
You could go with the RK Sport 3 piece...
OR, you could go spoilerless...

If you have done any of the above, you are apart of the Anti-SS/SC spoiler revolution!

If you still have the stock SS/SC spoiler on, please consider this information and opinion.

SO WHO IS WITH ME!?

I think the ss/na spoiler looks good on our cars, but I agree the ss/sc spoiler is not the best fit considering how our cars flare out rather nicely towards the rearend

I've been planning on getting the RK Sport, also, but I like the idea of my car looking unique (at least in my area), so quit telling everyone about it! IMO, that's the spoiler the SS/SC should of come with from the factory. Still toying with the idea of going completely without, though.

I like the SS/SC spoiler. It gives the car character and gives it the "trouble maker" look. If I wanted classy, I wouldn't buy an econobox from Chevy.

I'm seriously looking at the SS/SC to be my next car (might be quite a while till I buy, but nevertheless...) and there are just a few must-haves that I'll insist on having within a couple of weeks of purchase:

1) G85 package
2) Stage 2 kit
3) Torque brace
4) Get rid of that spoiler

I'm a big fan of function over form and that spoiler is a giant example of form over function. Aerodynamically suspect at best, makes the rear-view mirror worthless, and looks way too boy-racer for my tastes...

I think it gives the car its personality, however if I had a Redline or SS/SC I probably wouldn't opt for that wing. I'd go with the small spoiler...

I love my "big ass wing".
It says I want to play to the fast cars and **** off to the want a be's.
No I can't see if cops are behind me but there is a simple solution for that. Just be going so fast that you pass everything on the highway. That way if a cop is after you, you will either see his lights flashing in your rearview or spike belt directly in front of you

I love the wing. I kinda got used to not using the back window to look out of. When I have my hardtop on my Jeep there's a sticker across the back window that says SEA DOO in 5 inch letters.
I have to steal a comment from a friend. He was making fun of little imports.

He who has the biggest wing & the most stickers has the fastest car.

I just need alot of stickers now. NOT hahaha

Doesn't the spoiler serve a purpose during high speed driving? I agree that they went a little overboard with the size but if it's taken off won't that allow lift under the rear of the car when going fast?

Not if you replace it with a spoiler or something.

Spoiler serves a purpose for those turns in 125mph that we do on our daily commute to work in the 30 to 75 mph zones we take to work.

ok really the Attak cobalt has the middle peice replace to make it more effective. the current peice is pretty floppy to provide much traction aid. if you really want to ensure if provides down force go on the highway and pop the trunk and see if it stays down. if your really confident that it provides down force you will do this with no thinking twice. if it provides up force maybe you could damage something. go ahead and let us know what happens. I am curious.
