1/4 mile times for all 2.4SS
Ok I figured we all could post all your 1/4, and 1/8 times on here so post your slips and times. Please just post times and nothing else
Thanks
15.14 @ 93.09mph corrected. No point is posting my uncorrected 16.1 time, right?
(66.2F, 3350 elevation, 29.8 inches of mercury, 49% humiidty, 16.16@ 87.5mph)
Plug the numbers in here and thats how I get my altitude corrected time

To determmine your corrected time you must first find the density altitude when you are racing.
Density altitude takes into account weather conditons--as they can affect the air and make the elevation seem higher--hence density altitude. Calgary elevation at Race City is 3350 feet but the air condtions make it almost always feel like 4700-4800 feet. If it gets real hot I have seen it at 5500 feet.
I plug my numbers in here:

I can even go to NHRA website here, once I know the density altitude. (4872 feet)
http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/altitude.html
They only have 100 foot increments--4872 feet rounded up is 4900 feet.
16.16 X .9393 = 15.17
87.5 mph = 93.16
As long as you input the corrected weather numbers it is accurate.
My corrected times are with in 0.1 of MikeSS--we have the same mods and he lives at Sea-level in Ontario.

i really don't trust this as it doesn't take into account the powerband of your car, the type of transmission you have, the gear ratios...etc. In higher altitude your car will take longer to get up to speed so you may not reach the sweet spot of your car. It told me that my car would run a 14.3....i have no mods. I guess that means im faster than most ss/sc stock. It may be close to correct with some cars, but it can't possibly be very accurate.

The powerband and gears, tranmssion ect are not relavent. Because they are not affected by altitude. They are a constant...not a variable.
Obviously the car acclerates slower, revs slower at high altitude. Thats why up here in Calgary I run 16.1 @ 87mph--I am making far less hp.
At sea level I am making more hp--the car revs faster and acclerates faster.
I am sorry but its is very accurate. I have personally raced an 88 Camaro in Calgary amd drove out to St Thomas Dragway in Ontario---it was 0.8 faster and 5 mph faster--thats within a normal variation.
I started drag racing 13 years ago---altitude can make a huge difference in your times.
Unfortunatley we have a genrally younger crowd on this board and most don't get it.
Its all science.....I am using all right right numbers. NHRA and the other site are incredibly close.

wait are you taking about 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile conversions?
Quote the post next time....
1/4 mile conversion... apparently a 14.91 at my eleveation and humidity and temp and all is a 14.3...never trust converters as a reliable source.
if my stang ran a 14.3 1/8 i would buy a mountain bike instead.

Its science you morons. I plan on runing at Mission BC in the fall--its at sea-level.
I'll post times--But then I guess all you idiots wil find something to bitch about.
NHRA doesn't mean anyting eh? Next you'll say the earth is flat.
Altitdue dosen't mean anyting to you?
I present science and facts and all any doubter can say is...."not true"
While present no evdience that I am wrong--do you have any clue how stupid you are?
Sorry if you don't like it--stfu--most of you S/C are such jerks
