I've never seen a manual rented from any large North American rental company. Also, I've never seen a 'performance' vehicle from any of the large rental companies. So how 'bout no

I would be pissed off if I see them renting the SS S/C (There goes the resale value). The main reason I decided to go with the SS S/C, instead of the new Mustang, is that I haven't and don't ever plan on owning a car that you see every two blocks.

Unfortunately any car that shares the same platform performance based or not will lose value if the "base" version is in rental fleets. The only thing that will help with resale of the Cobalt SS/SC will be LOW production numbers. I think I come from a good background. I drive a neon.

Car Rental

Corvettes and Ferraris can be rented day to day if one is willing to pay the rate. Los Angelos is one area and I believe Miami is another. I admit, these cars are not widely available but I know rental is possible.

Have you seen the resale value on a corvette? The dealer I worked at took a 99 in on trade that was NICE NICE NICE. The miles were a bit high but damn it was clean. $6500 on trade. We had the highest ACV bid in the area. Even though it booked for 10.2k Local auctions were fetching 7500-8000 for the same year with under 100k on it. Corvettes are plentiful on the road. If I ever got one it'd be a 67 with a 427/435

Incorrect the 63 was the split window and yes they are hard to find. The 67 was the best looking IMO Just as a plaful jab, you got showed up by a Dodge boy.

I think you would be hard pressed to find a Cobalt SS/SC avalible for rental. Like someone else mentioned I have seen exotic car rentals. Not sure if they were standard or auto however.

I hope they don't rent out the car. At least that way the car is more 'exclusive' in the sense that you can't just go rent it.

I hope they rent the other Coupe and Sedan Models like crazy... this way the name gets more attention, people buy those cars and the SS, companies make more parts, and a chevy cna have half as many parts as a honda... Chevy needs to take after honda and MASS MARKET this car or it will flop and then they might have to bring back the berreta or somethin...

Just imagine, the Cobalt SS/SC available for rent at the high-performance "weekend-getaway" rental companies. Along with the 'vettes, BMW roadsters, Ferrari, and Porsches.

I think I would take just about any of those cars above over a Cobalt SS/SC.

Just call some tree hugging hippies to protest that doing so would be "bad for the environment" let them litigate it and spend all the money. Hahaha
