Thanks ever one. so far so good.

Im going to work on geting GM to admit there is a problem and see about geting it fixed.

And if all els fails you atleast have something to show your dealer to prove that your not alon and that the clutch dose fail more then they want to admit to.

later and keep it up guys. And pleas keep it on topic and clean!

Thanks!

Started Slipping at approx 4k miles. No racing, no abusive driving, no burn-outs, etc. Comes and goes; very strange.

I voted no . I had 27,000 on mine when it started to show signs of slipping in 1st gear from a dead stop . Im pretty amazed at what my stock clutch put up with . The fact that I only powershift when I drag race and I drag race alot contibuted my early clutch slipping . Had I not done that , the stock clutch in mine woulda lasted ALOT longer . Even at that , when I took my stock clutch out , it didnt look too bad at all .

I have 8k on mine and it started back at like 6k. From first to second gear shifts it will sound like it is smoking the tires but just burn the clutch.

Stock clutch went out at 7500 miles, it was due to a faulty slave cylinder.

The hydraulics are 98% to blame for clutch issues.

For those of you having problems, I'm sorry to say I had driven maybe 3 total miles on a stick before I bought this car. Now at 2800 miles, and no problems whatsoever. Maybe I'm a quick learner...

Bone stock other than window tint, 2100 miles and not slipping. Have an annoying rattle in the rear deck though!

Mine will slip until the car warms up in 1st and sometimes 2nd. Once it's warmed up it holds.

I dunno if it's my 'fault', but I am sure if I drive the car like a grandma the clutch would be fine.

GM has admitted to the problem but wont do anything about it. that does not mean you should not do anything. I think your efforts will not be rewarded but it does not hurt to press for more.

Bone stock and started slipping at 7000KM. I have 18000K on it now and still with stock clutch. it still slips but I know now more what to do about it. left up quick! it sucks. if the tires have traction and your on the gas it does slip. GM warranty states the clutch is not a warranty item. but if you can convince them the pressure plate is the problem as yours does not have enough spring clamping force (IMO that has to be the difference between guys who experience this problem and not) then you could get it covered under warranty.

I had 12,000 on mine and never an ounce of clutch slippage, it was as crisp when i sold it as it was new. I also did alot of hard fast shifting in it and never a problem.
