I'm from Bloomington/Normal and i've only seen a few balts around town, and of them only 1 SS/SC.

Just wondering if anyone is from my area...

I am in the Peoria area -

I have seen a at least three other SS/SC cars in the area - mine is red, I have seen a red, a blue and a black one since I have bought mine.

My wife works at the Sam's club in Bloomington - she sometimes drives my balt when I am driving something else and she is not in her vette.

We should have a cruise to somewhere soon -

We should get something goin for the non chicago balts.

I've had some bad experiences with XI, When i had my grand prix they got pissed at my club and then played around racing us. But anyways we need a real Cobalt club.

As far as stuff done to my car not much yet, i need to get my lowering springs installed, hopefully this next weekend!

I am here too. I live in Washington. I just picked up my Silver SS/SC with G85 last Wed from Bob Grimm in Morton, they had to bring it down from WI. I sort of feel screwed that they didn't tell me about the 0% financing. But I am trying to get that taken care of and it is completely unrelated. But anyways, I would definitely be interested in a meet. I have been trying to find a dragstrip in the area. The closest I have heard about is in Cordova, me and a buddy at work with an SRT4 want to go. Something during the week would work best for me.

 

Hi auto -

Havana has a nice 1/8 mile track - but it does have about a half mile gravel road leading into it so I have never taken the vette down there.

Congrats on the SS - I bought mine at Grimm too! They are fair and decent people in my experience.

I am out of town (I am in lower Manhattan in my hotel room typing this message....) on business, so I cannot see this weekend - but when the vette crew wants to go up to Rt 66 (Joliet) for some 1/4 mile fun, I'll post it here.

In the meantime - lemme know if you want to come out and put your car up on my lift just to check it out underneath etc - consider it an open invitation!

I've seen two other Yellow LS's like mine

A red SS/Sc at Mugsys and I believe theres a Black SS/SC around here too

Dang, when you guys said central I was hoping you meant Springfield. I am from West Central Illinois and am looking for some fellow Cobalters to hang out with. I do get to the decatur area a few times a year though.

I went to Iowa for the weekend and just got back, made me hate dirt roads up there. My washing sponge is black now.

Anyways I wasnt able to get my springs installed up there, so if anyones interested sometime we can meet up and do a spring install! Haha, i'd provide the money for the cold ones, but cant but em myself.

And i'm glad to hear theres another twin city person, even though i'm moving to peoria soon.

Also i'm debating on my next mod, i dont know if i want to get a rim and tire package, cold air intake, or GMPP exhaust....

 

And to think, I was just in Bloomington, 2 weeks ago...

 

i live in southern il, but i'm in the air national guard, so i go up to Peoria every month. We should all meet up sometime. Last month i was in Peoria June 1st thru the 4th, and i drove my SS/SC. I didn't see any other SS's up there though.

 

Does any night next week work for a cruise? It would have to be during the week since I am always gone on the weekends. Also, I am going to start Auto-X my car, I think the first time will be the weekend of Sept. 23-24. Anyone interested?
