well my car is still in the shop, these are going to be primarily drag wheels because i can use my old tires instead of wasting good tires, but when i get my car back and tires mounted i will put them both on one side and take some pics for you guys, i can do a how-to if enough people want it

did you use a flat spray paint? and how did you prepare the wheel before the paint?

the paint is not flat, it is the pic that makes them look that way. however they are not like super shiny either, they have a nice clear coat on them that gives some shine. i used paint strippper to get the paint off, i did have to apply it several times though, then i washed the wheels really well with dish soap and dried with a towel, make sure you get all little cotton pieces off the wheels though. then mask off everthing you dont want painted, then i used black primer (3 thin coats), black paint (3 coats) and clear paint (3 coats)

I gotta see them in person, I like the sheme you went with, kinda similar to the rims I'll be getting with the painted face and bare metal dish.

and is that an exhaust manifold I see sitting under the work bench?

I really like the theme. I was considering doing the exact same thing to my second sec of ss/sc rims, but with a gloss black. Want to see pics of the wheels on the car!

looks great, hope they don't flake on you when you wash it. Probably can't use a wheel cleaning brush on them.

Thats hot.

I was thinking about doing that with the stock rims. But, didnt think it would look good. Wish I wouldnt have sold them now. I could have painted them and used them for winter tires.

Looks very good. It would be better if they were on the car, but I've read earlier why they aren't!

I guess that's the cheap, effective way to stand out with out dumping too much money on rims!
