What size is the inlet pipes on the stock SS/SC muffler?

I wanna order a aftermarket muffler and need to know exactly what the inlet size going into the stock muffler is and the actual length of the stock muffler...does anyone know what these measurements are for the SS/SC...is there anything else I need to know about the stock muffler before I place the order...what would be a good size opening on the outlet of the new muffler 4"?

in my opinion, dont replace just the muffler, get a nice 3" inlet with a 3" core muffler from companies like magnaflow. search around for an exhaust shop that can do mandrel bend, spend an extra 150 bucks and do a full cat-back exhaust setup, you'll gain some good hp from the ss s/c with a 3" cat-back, i believe stock size is allready 2.5". but thats just my opinion and thats what i would do.

Cobalt is exactly 2.5" inlet catback, Coupe and Sedan are 2 3/8" inlet.
I don't think 3" is a good ideal. I have to wait some of reports come out. Supercharge is not like a turbocharge, still need some backpressure to keep up torque.

But my partner will install a universal muffler this weekend, I get him a 2.5" inlet 5.5" diameter, the other is white carbon fiber with real titanium tip muffler. We like our Cobalt SS is louder.
