Anyone have any advice on how to get racing sponsorships and how I should go about moving up the ranks in the SCCA? I want to at least get to race in the Speed World Challenge series.

Don't laugh, but I am seriously considering trying to eventually become a professional race car driver in one of the premier auto racing series.

I just autocross as of right now, but I want to try to move up the ranks as soon as I can start. I realize that I would need a sponsorship to help with the money to be able to buy parts for my car to be able to be competitive.

Please help if you can.

I've never done it or looked into it, but i would think just drive, drive, drive. And drive some more to get your name noticed. Try to attend big name events, or events where there will big name companies...The only other thing i can think of is to promote yourself to companies, and start with a small, hometown buisness, not like Summit Racing or other crazy big companies.

try getting ur name out to dealerships they always love getting their name on someones car.and i agree with blackcobalt, get ur name out with the small guys first and just win races, or even top 3 get urself noticed and they will come. before you know it HKS will be knocking on ur door lol
