I have some cash and want people's opinions on doing a Carbon Fiber Hood and Center Wing.

My car now (Notice pin stripe (came with the car) and Tint).



CF Wing Insert (I would keep my Silver Risers but make the middle CF)
Cheeper single layer

Double layer (a lil more money)


I like Carbon Fiber but also dont know if it would be too much on my car? What do you all think? Be honest and brutal...

 

would look nice but there is about an 8 month wait on CF

 

Thats the same thing I want to do to my car I think it'd look good, is that the oem cf hood or the one with the scoop

 

i love the spoiler on the evo but not sure on how it would look on a cobalt. it shouldn't look too bad though.

 

Yeah, I don't know about the spoiler. The hood I would definately get though. I would have to see the spoiler on a cobalt first....I haven't seen anyone buy one yet.

 

i had the ss CF spoiler on order for 4 months through gravana when they said ill get it next week.... when i finally got a straight answer they said 6 more months(after the 4) haha nope

 

and now im wingless and want the RKsport lol i change my mind way too much

I like the scoop one but it doesnt even lead to the right spot in the engine bay so Im planning on OEM look. But Now Ive changed my mind If I cant get one for 8 months! damn...

There is a cf shortage/limitation that the government has put on, i have been waiting for a while for my hood also.

 

As have i.. i ordered my hood recently, and i was told i cant have it untill mid july.. im upset.. :-(

 

Yellow and CF will look good. Do it when you can.

It would probably look pretty good. Silver and CF look great together IMO.

But there is quite the waiting list because of the governments limitation of consumer CF.

 

What is the GOV doing with the CF if anything? Hmm...

Well, I just got a huge dent in my hood from a rock, so I've been thinking about a carbon fiber hood to replace it. I think I'd get some of it painted to match the body color though. I'm not sure how. I don't mind a little carbon fiber showing through, but not a lot

 

They bought up tons of it for military use in aircraft. I've seen some crazy prototypes of wings for UAV's using the stuff.

 

any you guys thought cf prices for car parts were the only thing going up

Tennis rackets, fishing rods....everything CF prices are increasing and its becoming harder to come by.
My friend bought stock in it...and has almost doubled his money in 6 months.

You wouldn't even be able to tell you had carbon fiber... you cars black!!! Plus no one would look at your car anyway because you don't have an intake!
