Does anyone know or could estimate about how much of an increase in performance you would see/feel from getting the one step cooler NGK Spark Plugs?

View Full Version : Spark Plug Performance Increase? DTM2188 06-09-2006, 11:10 AM Does anyone know or could estimate about how much of an increase in performance you would see/feel from getting the one step cooler NGK Spark Plugs? CTCOBALTSSS 06-09-2006, 11:22 AM It's not so much a power thing. It helps eliminate detonation. More air and more gas = hotter temps. The plugs are one step colder to help the situation. The gap of the plugs on the other hand have a little influence on power. 05BlackCobaltSS 06-09-2006, 11:24 AM So what's a good gap for the SS/SC without a tune? I've heard people running .030 gapped with a tune. CTCOBALTSSS 06-09-2006, 11:27 AM My plugs are gapped at .38 and it works nicely. I don't know what the guys with tunes are gapping at. You will hear mixed emotions about gaps and what's reliable and what gives you the best performance. 05BlackCobaltSS 06-09-2006, 11:29 AM thanks for the info :twothumbs DTM2188 06-09-2006, 12:49 PM thanks for the info as well CTCOBALTSSS 06-09-2006, 01:06 PM thanks for the info as well No problem ya'll. |
